Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Distil when you buy a report.

You fill in a questionnaire. You pay. We generate a personalised supplement report based on your answers and peer-reviewed research, and email it to you. The report is information, not medical advice. We have no affiliate links and no sponsorships. If something goes wrong with the service we will fix it or refund you.

1. Who we are

"Distil" is a sole-trader business operated by Sebastian Stallard. References below to "we", "us", and "our" mean Sebastian Stallard trading as Distil.

2. What you are buying

A personalised supplement report. We do not sell supplements. We do not sell medical advice. We do not sell ongoing coaching.

When you buy a report, you receive:

A personalised supplement stack with a foundation tier, a targeted tier, and an optimise tier, generated from your questionnaire answers and peer-reviewed evidence.
An introduction schedule and daily-timing schedule.
Drug-supplement interaction checks against the medications you declared.
A reassessment framework with suggested blood-work tests and check-in points.
Cited evidence references with grade badges.
The report delivered as a self-contained downloadable HTML file and a web-hosted version at a private URL.

You do not receive: physical supplements, prescriptions, ongoing coaching, follow-up consultations, or any service beyond the delivery of the report itself.

3. The report is information, not medical advice

We are not a medical organisation. The report is for information and education. Always check with your GP or pharmacist before starting any supplement, especially if you take medication or have a diagnosed condition.

Distil is not a medical practice, pharmacy, clinic, or healthcare provider. The report is provided for informational and educational purposes only. It does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not a substitute for professional medical advice from a qualified healthcare provider familiar with your individual medical history.

Always consult your GP, pharmacist, or appropriate specialist before starting any new supplement, particularly if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, have a diagnosed medical condition, are taking prescription medication, or have surgery planned. Some compounds may interact with medications or exacerbate certain health conditions.

If you experience any adverse reaction to a supplement, stop taking it and consult a healthcare professional. In an emergency call 999 (UK) or your local emergency number.

4. Honest answers and accuracy

The report is only as accurate as the answers you give us. If you misrepresent your health, medications, or lifestyle, the report may recommend supplements that are unsafe for you.

You agree to answer the intake questionnaire honestly and to the best of your knowledge. If you withhold or misrepresent information about diagnosed conditions, medications, allergies, pregnancy status, or anything else relevant to safety, we cannot guarantee the report is appropriate for you, and we accept no liability for harm arising from inaccurate or incomplete information that you provided.

5. Eligibility

You must be 18 or over to use Distil. By placing an order you confirm that you are.

We reserve the right to decline to generate a report for anyone whose questionnaire answers indicate that supplementation is not appropriate (for example, active cancer treatment, current pregnancy, or breastfeeding). In those cases your payment is not taken, or is refunded in full if it has already been processed.

6. The contract

The contract between you and us forms when:

you submit the intake questionnaire,
you complete payment via Stripe,
and we accept the order by beginning report generation.

If we cannot generate your report (for example because your answers indicate one of the gating conditions above, or for technical reasons), we will refund your payment in full and the contract is treated as never having been formed.

7. Price and payment

The price of the report is shown at checkout. Payment is taken at the point of order via Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

VAT is not currently charged. If our circumstances change such that VAT becomes applicable, prices will be updated accordingly and the change will not apply to orders already placed.

8. Immediate performance and your cancellation right

Reports are generated immediately after payment. If you want to cancel, email us before generation starts and you will get a full refund. Once generation has begun (typically within minutes), the report cannot be cancelled. You have already received the personalised content. This is set out in the Refund Policy in detail.

Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you would normally have a 14-day right to cancel a distance contract for digital content. By ticking the consent box at checkout, you give your express consent for us to begin generating your report immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose your statutory cancellation right once we have started supplying the personalised digital content (Regulation 37(1)(a)).

This does not affect your statutory rights if the service is faulty, not as described, or fails to comply with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. See the Refund Policy for the full picture.

9. No affiliate links, no sponsorships

We earn nothing from what you buy. The compounds in your report are chosen on evidence. The search terms exist to help you find a product that matches; they are not affiliate links.

Distil does not earn affiliate commission, finder's fees, sponsorship, or any other compensation from supplement brands, retailers, or manufacturers. The compounds we recommend are selected on evidence and your individual profile, not on commercial relationships. The search terms in your report help you find a product that matches the clinical form, dose, and specification. They do not direct you to a specific brand.

If this ever changes, we will disclose any commercial relationship clearly in the report itself and in this section, and you will be told before placing your next order.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use Distil if you are under 18;
submit deliberately false or harmful intake information;
resell, republish, or commercially redistribute reports generated for you;
attempt to extract our methodology, prompt structures, or compound database for commercial use;
use the service to provide medical or healthcare advice to third parties;
attempt to circumvent rate limits, authentication, or other security measures.

We may suspend or refuse service to anyone who breaches these terms. In serious cases we may report breaches to the appropriate authorities.

11. Intellectual property

The report we generate for you is yours to keep, read, share with your GP or pharmacist, and use for your personal health decisions. You receive a non-exclusive, perpetual licence to use it for those purposes.

The methodology, prompts, compound database, evidence-grading system, design, and underlying code remain our intellectual property. You may not republish reports as templates, scrape the database, or build a competing product on the back of our outputs.

12. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:

death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded under English law.

Subject to that, our total liability to you in connection with a report is limited to the amount you paid for that report.

We are not liable for any loss or damage that:

arises from inaccurate or incomplete information you provided in your intake;
arises because you did not consult a healthcare professional before starting a supplement;
relates to the quality, purity, or sourcing of any supplement you purchased from a third-party retailer;
was not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

13. Service availability

We aim to deliver reports within 24 hours of payment, and usually much faster. Occasional outages or queue backlogs may extend this. If your report is delayed beyond 48 hours we will contact you proactively. If we cannot deliver within 7 days, you may cancel and receive a full refund.

We may suspend the service for maintenance, upgrades, or for safety reasons (for example, pausing generation while we patch a bug). Any orders affected by an extended outage will be honoured or refunded.

14. Privacy and data protection

How we handle your personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy. By placing an order you acknowledge you have read it.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above will reflect any change. Material changes will be notified by email if you have an active order or report on file with us. The terms that apply to your order are the terms in force on the date you placed the order.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute arising under or in connection with them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except that consumers resident in Scotland or Northern Ireland may bring proceedings in their local courts.
